pushed him from the window, SPLAT!
Now she's locked inside her room,
where she pretends she's in a tomb.
Dark and gloomy, in her grave
because our Greta can't behave!
Greta is a Pharaoh Goddess
beautiful and hardly modest.
She lies arms crossed, like a mummy should
until she decides she can be good.
The cat was mean and scratched our Greta.
The subtle shove was a Vendetta.
Let it be known our queen is Good!
She did to the cat what any queen should...
It was the ground that killed the cat,
not good Greta, Pharaoh of the Flat.
She simply decreed, "That is that!"'
So, now she rests within her crypt
because she swears the cat had slipped.
Naughty Greta, Pharaoh Queen
is the victim! She's not mean!
The clumsy puss fell off the sill,
Fate, Justice, Divine Will!
Dues Ex Machina, for sure!
Our Greta's heart is gold and pure!
She saw it all from across the hall,
A gust of wind caused the fall.
A fateful blast, it knocked him off...
before she could help, he was aloft!
Now our Greta will reside
in cell block bedroom and decide
if she is willing to atone
or stay abed, all alone.
Oh dear Greta... in my day
We would have treat you another way.
Your hide would tan a bloody red
Because our favorite cat is dead!
Despite your tears, ever wetter
I think I liked that tomcat better!
